Patterson Bigfoot film - Real or Hoax: Chorvinsky, Gimlin, Morris and Heironimus

I came across this investigation conducted by the late Mark Chorvinsky. Back in 1996, he set out to get some answers on the Patterson Bigfoot film. The infamous Patterson Bigfoot footage has had the classic run-around that all convincing paranormal videos receive. It went from fame to being deemed fake. Yet,  Roger Patterson, the man who filmed the Bigfoot himself never said it was a hoax. Many rumors and questions surround the footage. If the video was a fake, where is the Bigfoot costume and who was the Bigfoot actor inside of it?

Chorvinsky's report goes in an interesting circle. He gets tips from some of Hollywoods most talented special effects artists. Many who strongly believe the video was a hoax and that the suit wasn't even made well. One rumor was that John Chambers, famous special effects and makeup artist who worked on films such as Planet of the Apes, was the creator of the Patterson Bigfoot suit. However, when Chorvinsky contacted a very old and ill Chambers, Chambers responded in a voice mail saying he did not make the suit.

In 2002, owner of Morris Costumes, Philip Morris, claimed he sold an ape costume to Roger Patterson in 1967. Morris said he made these ape costumes for a popular side show routine where a woman would transform into a gorilla. Morris continued to make this claim up until he passed away. Even speaking at paranormal conventions about it, bringing a fabricated ape suit with him stating, "I've been talking publicly about this for years now and haven't been sued yet." - Tossing It Out (2010)

It should be noted that Roger Patterson sadly died of cancer in 1972. That's 5 years after his Bigfoot footage was released (1967). Any attempt to get Patterson's say in Morris's claims would never come to fruition considering Morris did not make his claim till after Patterson was no longer living. Many others who were close to Patterson and the footage are also no longer with us and the only other witness to this event is Bob Gimlin. After reading many articles about if the video is a hoax or not, it appears through interviews with Gimlin, that he was tormented by septics. At one point, the stress almost broke up his marriage. It's possible that Gimlin has gone back and forth on whether to continue advocating for the video's authenticity due to outside pressures or Bigfoot haters wanting to squash what some call the "Holy Grail" of Bigfoot proof. Gimlin never seemed to raise concern about Morris touring conventions with an ape suit and it could have been because Gimlin just wanted to be left out of it and left alone at some point. Or, maybe he didn't want to start a fuss with a man who was just trying to get some advertising for his costume business. But, Gimlin didn't hold back in 2004 when a man named Bob Heironimus confessed he played Bigfoot in the famous video. According to this article, Gimlin did proceed to take legal action against Heironimus' claim. 

In conclusion, hearsay continues to circulate the most famous Bigfoot footage known to Bigfoot fans.  In my personal opinion, I was introduced to the video on TV growing up in the 80's and it was presented as the real deal. It continues to appear very authentic to me. It's only in later years that I noticed the debate on whether the footage was a hoax or not. Bigfoot skepticism is to be expected, but out of all the crypto creatures to grace mythology, Bigfoot seems the most tangible. We know humans exist and we know apes exists, so why is something in between so hard to believe in? You tell me. Leave your comments below.

7 Foot Tall Hellhound Skeleton Found! - The Black Shuck Is Real

In the ruins of Leiston Abbey near the Abbey chapel in Suffolk, England, archaeologists discovered the remains of a male canine weighing 200lbs. and standing 7 feet tall. The creature's grave was thirty inches deep and it's skeleton was surrounded by various pieces of pottery.

This is believed to be the body of the Black Shuck. Ancient tales tell of a 'giant hellhound with reddish burning eyes' attacking and killing people in East Anglia during the 16th century. The Black Shuck was greatly feared after it showed up during a violent storm on August 4, 1577 and bursts into the Holy Trinity Church in Blythburgh, about seven miles from Leiston in Suffok, killing two people as they were kneeling down to pray! Hopefully the body will be studied more and we can learn how the giant dog died. If the residents of East Anglia truly believed the Black Shuck (meaning 'black demon' in old English) was sent from Hell, then that might make sense of why it's remains were found buried on holy ground. The people wanted to make sure the murdering hellhound would never rise from the dead to hunt again.

Crypto Post Monday: Green Slime Worm from the Ocean

This Crypto Post Monday is coming to you a day early because I can't wait to share this wonderful footage of this strange alien-like, neon green slime worm uploaded to the internet by fisherman Wei Cheng Jian of Taiwan. Wei was fishing in a port when he spotted the creature. Apparently this is a Nemertea and also commonly known as a ribbon worm. There are over 900 different species of ribbon worms that live in the ocean and come in various colors and sizes. I would say this is the most glamours ribbon worm ever captured on video. The saturated green color is like something out of a sci-fi movie. It's too perfect!

Crypto Post Monday: Louisiana Bigfoot Photograph

Last night on Animal Planet's Finding Bigfoot, a family in Louisiana believed they might of captured a Bigfoot on their trail camera. A trail camera detects heat and motion. Once that is detected, it then snaps a picture. The family noted that the area in which the camera was pointed is off limits to people so, anyone walking in that area would be considered trespassing. Also mentioned was that the picture was taken in the month of June! At first glance the photograph might seem like a man in his puffy hunting gear, but who would be wearing a parka jacket in the summer weather of June?
The Finding Bigfoot team had their big and tall team member, BoBo, stand in the same spot as the creature in the photograph. With this comparison, the team estimated whoever this was in the photograph was about seven feet tall!

There have been several Bigfoot sightings in Louisiana. One hunter said he spotted what he thought was a well camouflage fellow hunter, but as he looked closer through his scope, he realized that was not camouflage, but hair! The hunter revealed he use to make fun of people who believed in Bigfoot until he happen to see one. While contemplating the fame he would receive by being the first man to shoot and kill a real Bigfoot, he admitted he did not pull the trigger simply because the creature looked too human-like.

To better visualize the creature, I traced it's outline in Photoshop and compared it to that of a Bonobo standing up-right. It sure looks like a Bigfoot to me, what do you think?

Where did Humans Come from Again? + Bigfoots and UFOs

As human beings, we have been searching for our origins and the meaning of life since the moment of our existence on Earth. Still, nearly 200,000 years later and more scientifically developed than ever, the meaning of life and how we came to live on this planet is still one of science's biggest mysteries. How did mammals take such a large leap in the theory of evolution from the brain of a great ape animal, to that of a human being? And, in 200,000 more or less years, will creatures superior to humans evolve?

Maybe they already have...on another planet.

These more evolved creatures would be highly capable of developing superior technology and performing experiments on humans just as we have developed in technology and perform experiments on animals and each other. This is just one of my own theories based on the pattern and history of intelligent life forms.

I want to share with you a few other theories to entertain. Not all mine, but these theories are shared amongst the open minded. One of them being that humans are the missing link between extraterrestrials and great apes. Picture this: Around nine million years ago, aliens came to Earth to perform scientific DNA modification experiments with mammals using ape DNA in particular. They mixed their alien DNA with great ape DNA and created the gigantopithecus. But, the gigantopithecus was soon left to extinction after the alien's human race was perfected. Few gigantopithecus might have survived their extinction and live quietly today in mountainous regions. Sightings of a surviving gigantopithecus have lead to the creature's nickname, Bigfoot, due to its 8 foot tall frame.

I also found this article about two Chilean men who saw a Bigfoot-like creature step aboard a UFO and zoom away. It's Fascinating!

Another interesting theory is that humans actually developed on another planet, brought here or migrated here and lost touch with their history. A new book was recently published by author Dr. Ellis Silver simply titled, Humans Are Not From Earth. In the book, Silver's theory points out many human traits that could indicate we don't naturally belong on Earth. Traits consisting of back pain, sun burn, a disliking of various natural foods, sensitivity to climate temperatures and our unfortunate ability to inherit or contract diseases. Maybe on the planet we were originally from, we would all feel a lot healthier? Well, that's what American ecologist Dr. Ellis Silver believes. but when I googled Dr. Ellis Silver, I found nothing but info on his book. This article refers to Silver as a "he" and that is basically all I know. Really, for all I know "he" could be an alien... If anyone finds any more information on Dr. Silver, please share.

Crypto Post Monday: Real Werewolves

I haven't done a cryptozoology post Monday in a while so here is one about werewolves!

Werewolves are a mythological, half man, half wolf creature. Some folk legends say that once cursed, a human will turn in to a werewolf on the first light of a full moon. The idea of the werewolf seems to stem from European folklore dating all the way back to the 13th century.
So where did these 13th century writers come up with the idea? Did they dream about it? Did they think they saw something that looked like a half man, half wolf, creature? Or perhaps...what if...they were merely writing the truth?
Last Wednesday on SyFy channel's Paranormal Witness, the idea of a real-life werewolf was put in to ponder with the episode "The Wolf Pack". The story goes: A man, his wife and daughter, living in the woods of Palmyra, Maine, in 2005, were surrounded by creatures they simply could not explain and it terrified them. Keep in mind, all stories presented on Paranormal Witness are told by the actual people that have witnessed the unexplainable events. It's sort of like a reality/ re-enactment show. These people truly believe, and to their best of knowledge, know they saw something they have never seen before in those woods. The creatures were described as very large and tall, furry like a wolf, moved in a group of five and did a lot of growling. Interestingly, I didn't hear any mention of the creatures howling as I watched the episode. That would of probably sealed the deal that they were not just a pack of strange looking bears.
I knew there had to have been some type of explanation for this particular event. The family thankfully were not harmed by the creatures and lived to tell their story, but what in the world did they really witness?
I decided to do some research to see if werewolves might actually exist as a form of undiscovered animal or if there is an animal that seems to be getting mistaken for the mythological beast. Here is what I discovered.
Maine seems to be a hot spot for some type of creature that strongly resembles a werewolf. I came across forums where people were confessing their sightings of a very tall, furry beast that growls and often stands on it's two hind legs, but they are sure it was not a Grizzly or Black bear. It seems as though, mostly all the sightings happen at night, which is also something to take in to consideration. Viewing things at night, in the woods, where it's pretty much pitch black without lights, is going to really distort one's vision. I do believe these people are not seeing your average bear, because if they were, they would be able to say it was a bear. We all know what bears look like, but do we all know what hair-less bears look like?
I didn't, until I came across this picture of an Andean bear that was going bald.

It looks shockingly like your classic Hollywood werewolf! There is no need for any special effects. The poor thing would scare me if I saw it at night in the woods.
I did a little bit of research on the Andean, also known as the Spectacled, bear and it seems as though animal experts have not quite figured out what causes these particular bears to sometimes go bald. The good news is that they do seem to have the ability to grow their hair back in a healthy environment.
These bears are found in South America which doesn't make sense if people might be spotting them in the state of Maine, but I still have more evidence that something closely related to this bear, if not this actual species, is roaming the woods of Palmyra, Maine.
The Spectacled bear is the close relative of the Florida Spectacled bear! That evidence is at least bringing this bear to the states, but unfortunately the Florida Spectacled bear has been extinct since the last ice age.
Then I discovered Demodicosis. Demodicosis is a condition in which an animal's immune system is unable to fight off the mites that infest their fur and this causes the animals to loose their hair. It can happen to Black bears which widely populate Maine, but I noticed that even when a Black bear is hair-less, it still looks like a bear due to it's longer snout and rounder ears. Also, Black bears are the smallest of North American bears. The creature sightings in Maine were reported as being very large. It is possible to come across an abnormally large Black bear, but what are the chances of coming across five of them? Could that have been what happen to the family on Paranormal Witness?
I think there is probably some type of undiscovered bear living near Palmyra Maine that is closely related to the Andean or Spectacled bear and it's not a werewolf, but it's probably just has hungry as one.

Deathbed Confession From CIA Official: Roswell Alien Was Alive!

A former member of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), has broken his silence on UFO's and extraterrestrials. His decision to do so was provoked by his age and declining health. He explains in the video below that his kidney's are failing and if his next treatment does not help him, then he only has a few months to live.

In the video below, the 77-year-old speaks of what he saw during his visit to Area 51 and of a Roswell alien that was still alive during 1958! 

The remarkable testimony was broadcast May 3, on the last day of the week long  Citizen Hearing on Disclosure 2013. 

Cryptozoology Post Monday : The Giant Squid Finally Caught On Video

For the first time in history , the infamous giant squid has been caught on camera in it's natural habitat thanks to a crew of determined scientist and funding by billionaire Ray Dalio. After a few failed attempts in the years past, the scientist's efforts finally paid off as they waited patiently in Ray Dalio's billionaire submarine about 3,000 ft., 550 miles off the coast of Tokyo, with a diamond squid on a rope as bait. Through the darkness, the giant squid emerged to feast upon the bait for a total of 18 minuets as their camera's rolled.
The giant squid's body was estimated roughly around 10 feet long and including it's tentacles, would make it about 22 feet long. It's body appeared to be red! Just like the old illustrations and sculptures you see in museums. Giant squids haven't changed one bit. They often fall victim to hungry Sperm whales in the Pacific ocean, but the squids live so far down in to the deep, that they are rarely every seen by humans.

I was also kind of amazed by the seven-armed octopus that floated by the camera. I have never seen one before...they look like under water sheet ghosts.

Good thing Discovery Channel and NHK had the cameras rolling and the cameras worked! Japanese scientist Tsunemi Kubodera stated he had been trying to catch the grandiose creature on video for 10 years! after he first caught some photos of it in 2006.

Just imagine, it took years of actively searching by scientist and the help of a billionaire just to capture a good 18 minuets of a creature that WE KNEW FOR SURE existed. No wonder no one can find Bigfoot. Maybe we can get this crew to search for Bigfoot next!

Cryptozoology Post Monday : Studying Bigfoot Footage

Cryptozoology Post! Thanks to @AliensAndUFOs for sharing this link. This video is pretty long, but the commentator provides the viewer with lots of Bigfoot information and about 20 different instances Bigfoot was caught on video! I still can’t tell if any of the footage is authentic or hoaxed do to the quality of each recording, but all instances were from completely different sources and yet all the Bigfoots looked and moved almost completely the same. If Bigfoots are being seen more frequently through out the world, HOPEfully, SOMEone, with an HD camera will get some clear footage of one soon. It’s bound to happen.

By the way, have you seen Ambam? He’s a Gorilla in a British animal park that tends to walk upright very often. I have never seen a Bigfoot before, but I imagine one looking similar to Ambam. Watch the videos below-
